A fantastic afternoon of chess at our U11 fixture against Oakwood.
Twelve of our pupils each played four timed matches against different opponents, making a total of 48 games. It was a brilliant test of focus, strategy and resilience.
A special mention goes to Captain Darcey, who was our standout performer, winning all four of his matches.
Beyond the results, the experience gave our players valuable exposure to competitive match play and the etiquette of tournament chess, which is an important part of their development in the game.
Well played to all involved.
